With 2015 now here, Motley Fool has launched an article recommending the top Internet of Things stocks to consider investing in. The Internet of Things is one of the most crucial innovations of the new year, and Jason Hope believes these recommended stocks would be a wise choice for those looking to invest in the future of technology.

In the article entitled "Our Favorite Internet of Things Stocks for 2015," which was published on December 22 by the Motley Fool Staff, specific companies and stocks were recommended to investors looking to take advantage of the growth of the Internet of Things. By 2019, the Internet of Things and the devices they include, such as smartphones, smart cars, wearable technology and more, will sell at double the rate they are today. This means an excellent opportunity for the modern investor.

"Investors are constantly looking for new places to put their money where growth is almost guaranteed," stated Jason Hope. "The Internet of Things just may be one of those."

In the article, Tim Brugger of Motley Fool recommended Cisco. He said, "Last quarter's revenues set a fiscal Q1 record, and Cisco added another $3.9 billion in cash and equivalents to an already strong balance sheet."

Bob Ciura, another contributor to the piece, recommended Intel due to its ability to provide the best connectivity between its devices and the cloud. Finally, Joe Tenebruso recommended the ever-popular Google, even with recent declines. "I am more focused on what lies ahead," he says, " and like to peer much further into the future than Wall Street's quarter-by-quarter focus." Over the long-term, he believes Google's future is bright.

"I feel all three of these are excellent investment opportunities," said Jason Hope. "The key is to find a company that has proven successful with the Internet of Things up until now, and has plans for the future. These are the companies that should continue to grow as the Internet of Things does."
