New book ‘Love and Other Poems’ encompasses many facets of love
(PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- KINZERS, Pa. – Love has always been a common theme in literature, such notable examples being William Shakespeare’s legendary works Romeo and Juliet and Othello. In “Love and Other Poems” (published by Xlibris), author Sandy Alexandra follows this age-old tradition by creating a beautiful collection of love oriented poetry.
This book of love poems was inspired by Alexandra’s own heart’s journey. These poems encompass the happiness of love found to the heartbreak of love lost. Her words are timeless and reach out to touch all of those who have felt the excitement of a new relationship, the contentment of a committed one, or harbored dreams of finding a soul mate. She also shares the bittersweet side of lost romance and the ensuing sorrow. Her poems appeal to hearts of all ages. They are written with emotional playfulness to dark despair with words only prose can define.
“Love and Other Poems” presents a diversity of love-related experiences from happy and sensual to the sorrow and sadness of an ended relationship. The interior artwork and the cover, being the author’s own work — which were predominantly inspired by her own experiences in life — adds vividness to the book’s pages.
