Manhattan Review Celebrates 15 Years of GMAT Prep

In 1999, Joern Meissner, the company’s founder, was a doctoral candidate at Columbia Business School. One day, his MBA students approached him and asked him to help their friends who were seeking admission into business school. Meissner’s students had been so impressed by the efficiency of his lectures that they urged him to develop a study schedule for people who were preparing to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) but were pressed for time because of other commitments. Meissner agreed that there was clearly an urgent need for an efficient study system and he set out to develop one.
