Access to the Most Sought After Financial Market Analysis Just Got Much Easier; NYIF Launches Online Prep Course for the CMT Level I Exam
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- The Market Technicians Association, Inc. is the leading organization for investment professionals advancing the discipline of technical analysis and the governing body for the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation. We are pleased to announce that The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Financial Times is launching a new online exam prep course for candidates in the CMT Program.
Once enrolled in the CMT Program, candidates embark on a journey to receive the CMT designation, one of only two investment certifications recognized by FINRA and the SEC for exemption on the Series 86 exam; the second being the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The CMT Program is rigorous. A three level exam ensures competency and ethical practice in the application of technical analysis to the world’s financial markets. Attesting to the breadth and depth of the curriculum as well as the rigor of the testing methodology, The New York Institute of Finance developed a one-of-a-kind online exam prep program to maximize every candidate’s opportunity for success.
“The New York Institute of Finance was carrying the flag for technical analysis before most of the world had even heard of it!” Ralph Acampora, CMT, veteran market analyst and founder of the Market Technicians Association, said of the partnership.
“When it comes to studying for the CMT exams, it's not just about studying hard, but studying smart. This prep course offers logical and straightforward way to work through the curriculum and ensure that the key elements of technical analysis are understood and can be practically applied by today’s financial market professionals,” says Hima Reddy, CMT, developer and instructor of the new NYIF course.
Candidates who enroll in the CMT Exam Prep Program will gain access to a variety of study tools including, direct support from the instructor via online office hours, peer-to-peer support through an exclusive online forum, pre-exam review session and unlimited access to 5 scheduled online lessons, with a 6th and final session taught live a few weeks prior to the exam. The statistical concepts and intermarket relationships are a critical piece of the analytical framework for asset managers, research analysts and securities traders.
The CMT Level I Prep Program began August 04, 2014 and enrollment is ongoing. The course will conclude October 1, 2014 in preparation for the exam which will be administered worldwide by the MTA October 23-25, 2014. All sessions occur online from 7pm – 9pm EST on the session date, however, the recordings can be viewed at any time after the broadcast.
“We are very excited about this new opportunity. The CMT Exam Prep courses rounds out our suite of investor education that covers specializations from mergers and acquisitions to accounting and corporate finance,” says Lee Arthur, Executive Director of the NYIF.
Each of the three levels of the CMT exam are administered twice a year in May and October. The MTA offers the exams worldwide through Prometric testing centers. Candidates can sit for one exam each administration and therefore a successful candidate could complete the entire CMT Program in 12 months. For complete information on the CMT Program visit MTA.org.
