Ziopharm Oncology is a leading Boston, Massachusetts-based biotechnology company “employing novel gene expression and control technology to deliver DNA for the treatment of cancer.” Before joining Ziopharm Oncology, Ms. Hager held a number of key positions in the pharmacology/biotechnology industry, including tenure as an associate director at Vertex, a senior manager pharmacovigilance at MedImmune and a safety monitor at Biogen Idec.
At Ziopharm, Ms. Hager has the critical task of overseeing the safety department, which is responsible for the compliance of adverse event reports for the products in development. Her ultimate responsibility is to work with the team of physicians to ensure the products we are working on are developed to maximize benefit and minimize risk to the patients.
A consummate professional, Ms. Hager is committed to staying on top of the latest innovations and changes in the pharmacology/biotechnology industry. She is currently involved with the Drug Information Association (DIA) and Advancing Women in the Business of Science and Technology (WEST).
