Alvernia Professor Presents Networking Program at Temple
Reading, Pa. (PRWEB) June 11, 2014 -- Travis A. Berger, an expert in the areas of leadership, organizational development and strategy, will present “First Impressions are Lasting Impressions: Mastering the Art of Networking.” The talk, set for Tuesday, June 17 from 8-10 a.m., is part of Temple University’s Enhancing Communities Learning Series.
Berger, an Alvernia University faculty member, will share techniques for making networking more effective and beneficial. Participants will also get to practice networking techniques with other participants in a comfortable, supportive environment. The program will be held in the GIANT Community Room, 2300 Linglestown Road in Harrisburg. There is no cost for the program, which will include breakfast, but a $5 donation is suggested. Registration is not required.
Berger is the director and coordinator of Alvernia University’s new Master’s in Organizational Leadership (MOL) degree program, for which classes will begin in August at Alvernia’s main campus in Reading, Pa. The program is the first of its kind offered in the region, with enrollment currently underway.
The MOL program is designed for a wide range of technical and functional experts, supervisors, managers, project managers and executives. Classes are offered in the evenings with traditional, blended and online formats available. Participants can expect to graduate in two years or less.
The Enhancing Communities Learning Series is a collaborative program of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (ECLS) and Temple University Harrisburg’s Nonprofit Evaluation Services and Training (NEST).
