NyloPorch® Debuts as Durable, Wood-Alternative Porch Flooring

Made using recycled carpet fiber, NyloPorch delivers the strength and natural-wood look of NyloDeck®.

Covington, GA (PRWEB) May 29, 2014

Building materials manufacturer Nyloboard, LLC, whose patented process uses recycled carpet fiber to create exceptionally strong, durable and eco-friendly products, continues to innovate with the launch of NyloPorch – a natural product extension of its successful NyloDeck decking product.

“Few, if any of the companies that manufacture composite decking offer a true tongue and groove porch board,” said Stuart Dimery, national product manager, NyloBoard. “Most offerings in this category of wood alternative porches are cellular PVC and solid vinyl. NyloPorch is an exceptionally high-performing tongue and groove porch board alternative to what is currently available.”

NyloPorch offers features that contractors and homeowners enjoy with the company’s NyloDeck decking product. Containing no wood or PVC, material properties include resistance to moisture, mold, and insects, while providing exceptional strength. A proprietary process creates a natural-looking wood-grain finish. NyloPorch has undergone rigorous testing, all to ensure a long-lasting, attractive product that is completely unique, yet priced competitively. It is offered with a 25 year Fade and Stain Warranty in addition to a 25-year Limited Residential Warranty.

NyloPorch is available in four popular colors that complement a full range of architectural styles: Mountain Mocha, Saddle Rose, Desert Spice and Coastal Mist (with special order colors Newport White and Harbor Gray). Widths include the traditional 3-1/8” face or a wider 5-1/8” profile for a more contemporary feel. Due to greater coverage per square foot, the available 5-1/8” face of NyloPorch translates into more than a 30 percent reduction in time, labor and fasteners.

“Shaded and sun lit areas of the same board can cause uneven heating and thermal expansion issues with some porch flooring products. However, just as with NyloDeck, NyloPorch offers the industry’s lowest thermal expansion and contraction rates and excellent fastener retention. Already, it has become a welcomed option in the porch market," noted Dimery. “Further, NyloPorch eliminates concerns about expansion and contraction due to moisture, as well as splitting and cupping that can occur with wood.”
