Increasingly, the convergence between traditional mobile devices and a new set of embedded Internet of Things (IoT) devices brings a new set of challenges for ensuring security and privacy. WSO2 Co-founder and CTO Paul Fremantle will address this issue at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in a workshop entitled “GSMA Mobile Identity Workshop: Securing Identity and Privacy Across Both Mobile and IoT Devices.”

Securing Mobile and IoT Devices

The conference workshop will begin by examining the significant challenges around ensuring identity and privacy across mobile and IoT devices. It then will explore the Web-based solutions that have emerged, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Additionally, the session will discuss certain challenges that remain and identify areas where the industry can collaborate to solve them.

The session will be held 3:10 – 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in Room 5 – Level 3 at Fira Montjuïc, Hall M5.
