NJIT Announces Zero to Sixty JavaScript Professional Development Certificate

The NJIT Zero to Sixty JavaScript professional development (non-credit) certificate course will take the student from having little or no knowledge of JavaScript to having a working knowledge of the language.

The NJIT Zero to Sixty JavaScript Certificate is comprised of three, 30 hour courses.

The NJIT Zero to Sixty JavaScript professional development (non-credit) certificate course will take the student from having little or no knowledge of JavaScript to having a working knowledge of the language.

NJIT announces Zero to Sixty JavaScript certificate. This non-credit professional development course is comprised of three, 30 hour courses: Foundations of JavaScript, Web Development Using JavaScript and Advanced Web Design Using JavaScript. The certificate covers the use of JavaScript in the browser and as a standalone language. To earn the full certificate, all three courses should be taken sequentially.

By completing this certificate the student will be able to use a text editor or programming tool such as Visual Studio, Jet Brains, or Eclipse to do the following:

  • Create and modify JavaScript programs running in the Node.js environment.
  • Produce and modify web-based JavaScript programs and learn how JavaScript can be used to control the appearance and flow of web application.
  • Create and modify more advanced web-based JavaScript programs using AngularJS, Node.js, and MongoDB.

The certificate is for anyone who has programmed in another language. If you have not programmed in the past, but feel you have sufficient background to attempt the course you’ll be considered.

Visual Studio and Eclipse programming tools are available at no charge.
