The National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts™ (NACVA®) and the Consultants' Training Institute™ (CTI™) announce two symposia that will focus on advanced business valuation and advanced healthcare valuation and consulting topics. Both events will be held December 9–13, 2014, in San Diego, CA. Presentation proposals are being sought for both events to assist with agenda planning. The deadline for submitting presentation proposals is May 30, 2014.
Advanced Healthcare Valuation and Consulting Symposium
"Healthcare is the largest, fastest-growing, and most complex industry in the U.S. It is undergoing accelerating change as the industry implements new payment models focused on the quality of service rather than the quantity," states Advanced Healthcare Valuation and Consulting Symposium co-chair Richard Romero, MBA, CVA, CHFP, PAHM with CBIZ Valuation Group, LLC. "Transformation in how U.S. healthcare is regulated, taxed, accessed, delivered, and reimbursed has created a myriad of opportunities for business valuation and financial forensics analysts to support the business arrangements and operations of healthcare entities."
"This symposium is designed to stimulate discussions and knowledge sharing on relevant topics in healthcare valuation and consulting assignments such as the regulatory environment, reimbursement models, value-based purchasing, organizational structures, benchmarking, and more," states Timothy Smith, CPA, ABV with American Appraisal who is co-chairing the Advanced Healthcare Valuation and Consulting Symposium with Romero.
Proposals for the Advanced Healthcare Valuation and Consulting Symposium can be submitted through May 30, 2014. For details visit http://www.nacva.com/healthcaresymposium.
Advanced Business Valuation Symposium
"The Advanced Business Valuation Symposium will not rehash the “same old” discussion of the “same old” topics or continue the “same old” debates that are so often presented," states symposium co-chair Nancy Fannon, CPA, ASA, ABV, MCBA, MAFF with Meyers, Harrison & Pia, LLC. "This symposium is specifically designed for valuators who want to advance to more nuanced topics rather than those professionals who need fundamental or intermediate training."
"The art and science of business valuation is constantly evolving. Keeping up-to-date on the latest models, methodologies, approaches to value, academic research, and data sources are critical for advanced and seasoned valuation practitioners who are juggling numerous engagements and are also tasked with staff development," states Peter Butler, CFA, ASA, MBA with Valtrend, LLC who is co-chairing the Advanced Business Valuation Symposium with Fannon.
Proposals for the Advanced Business Valuation Symposium can be submitted through May 30, 2014. For details visit http://www.nacva.com/valuationsymposium.
