Simplifile Announces E-Recording in Washita County

When customers submit their documents by mail, sometimes they have to wait several days or weeks to get them back, but with e-recording available, they can have documents recorded in minutes.

WASHITA COUNTY, Okla. (PRWEB) February 19, 2014

Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service provider, announced Washita County has implemented e-recording of land documents for recording customers, making it possible for documents to be submitted to Washita County via the Internet for recording.

With Simplifile’s e-recording service available, customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, and other organizations will be able to scan and upload or electronically prepare documents and submit them to Washita County online, eliminating the need to use the mail or travel to the courthouse to have documents recorded.

“As you can imagine, e-recording saves both the county and its customers a significant amount of time and money,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “When customers submit their documents by mail, sometimes they have to wait several days or weeks to get them back, but with e-recording available, they can have documents recorded in minutes.”

E-Recording also helps to reduce paper waste and check-writing expenses, as customers are able to submit recording fee payments to the county securely via electronic funds transfer instead of mailing a check.

With the addition of Washita County, the state of Oklahoma now has 38 recording jurisdictions that offer e-recording of land documents through Simplifile.
