NAPW honors Linda R. Krienke as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this distinction for her leadership in the home furnishings industry. As the largest, most recognized, organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters.

“I understand the flooring industry on all levels so I am adept at communicating and building a rapport with everyone, from flooring installers to national account executives,” says Ms. Krienke, vice president at Harnix Corporation. “I am extremely organized and maintain exceptional records, which is necessary when working with customers for 25 years and longer.”

Harnix is based in Houston, TX and specializes in resilient products such as floor coverings for the home. As Vice President, Ms. Krienke holds a key leadership role in the company. She is involved in future business development and has been instrumental in guiding the company as it steadily grows. She credits her exceptional team of professionals for seamlessly handling the day-to-day operations of the business. This allows Ms. Krienke ample time to focus her efforts on maintaining and nurturing inside and outside business relationships and provide expert problem-solving solutions, guidance and advice to her staff.

Ms. Krienke says her biggest professional accomplishment has been her ability to break through the glass ceiling of a male-dominated field and dispel the myth that a degree is required to be a successful businesswoman. “I started at the bottom with a local flooring distributor and worked my way up before starting my own business,” she says. “During that time, I developed life-long partnerships and invaluable connections that continue into my business today.”
