SPT Marine Transfer Services Ltd gets underway with HP Regas commissioning and send out at Mina Al Ahmadi

We can depend on SPT to consistently deliver first class service to us, both in terms of their exemplary safety performance and industry recognised expertise in LNG STS and Terminal Support.

Sunderland, UK (PRWEB UK) 31 March 2014

The SPT group of companies has been involved with Mina Al Ahmadi GasPort since the project inception in 2007 and for the past three years has been contracted directly to KNPC providing Technical Support for over 140 incident free LNG ship to ship (sts) transfer operations during this time.

The signing of the new 5 year contract in December 2013 further cements the relationship between the two companies and ushers in a new era of co-operation between KNPC and SPT Marine Transfer Services Ltd.

Mr Simon Duncan, President and CEO of SPT Inc., as agent for SPTMTS, said, “We are very pleased to continue the close working relationship with KNPC and look forward to supporting them in the continued safe and reliable operation of this key facility.”

Mr Khaled Mohammed Al-Hajeri, Manager of Operations at MAA, said, “We are delighted with the performance of SPT during the past three years. We can depend on SPT to consistently deliver first class service to us, both in terms of their exemplary safety performance and industry recognised expertise in LNG STS and Terminal Support. It is because of this performance that we awarded SPT Marine Transfer Services Ltd a new 5 year Technical Support Contract; in alignment with the recently awarded LNG Storage and Regasification Contract at Mina Al Ahmadi. The new FSRU is technologically advanced when compared to similar vessels; and because of this we are pleased to have SPT’s technical support in the commissioning and bringing into service of this new chapter of operations at Mina Al Ahmadi. We are also looking forward to beginning operations with QFlex vessels in 2014 with the assistance and support of SPT. For the past three years, SPT and KNPC have worked together as one family and we look forward to continuing this relationship under the support and care of Simon Duncan and Steve Davidson’s distinguished team.”
