SWBC Switches to eLogic Learning's LMS to Drive Employee Training and Reduce Information Security Risk
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) April 02, 2015 -- SWBC is a rapidly growing diversified financial services company providing a wide range of insurance, mortgage, and investment services to financial institutions, businesses, and individuals. Information security is critical to both SWBC and its clients, and providing employees with engaging, high quality information security training is a top priority. However, SWBC’s training department did not receive the support necessary from their previous LMS provider, resulting in end user and administrator frustration. Concerned that LMS adoption and training completions would decline, SWBC began the process of finding a solution that could meet the company’s needs.
Mandy Smith, Vice President of Training & Employee Development, SWBC refers to eLogic’s flexibility, partnership approach, outstanding customer service, and agile product development as primary reasons for their decision to choose the eSSential LMS.
“eLogic’s approach was completely different from all the other LMS providers we encountered. Their customer-focused way of looking at things is what sealed the deal for us. And after almost three years into the relationship, it’s only getting better,” says Smith.
LMS enhancements suggested by SWBC have been developed and deployed by eLogic to help automate SWBC’s information security training process. New SWBC employees must complete mandatory information security training within 30 days of hire. The eSSential LMS automatically recognizes new users and registers them for the course, while previously new users had to be manually registered. Automating this process has saved the SWBC training department valuable time and created greater assurance of compliance. Since implementing the mandatory training, SWBC has been able to prove its impact on reduced information security risk using reports in the eSSential LMS.
“The SWBC training team consists of truly innovative power users in learning management. Their forward thinking approach and ideas have translated into functionality enhancements for the eSSential LMS and a better, more configurable solution. They simply have made eLogic better,” says Mark Anderson, CEO, eLogic Learning.
In addition to automating security training enrollment, SWBC partnered with eLogic to create a new LMS feature for managing their training library of over 400 items, including audiobooks, study guides, etc. With library management in the eSSential LMS, SWBC is able to track the distribution of their physical library items, attach supplemental materials to courses, report on employee engagement and more.
