Fuel Entertainment, Vision Animation and Moody Street Productions Announce Development on World of Thingies Animated Series from DeNA
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2015 -- Today, Fuel Entertainment and DeNA announced collaboration on a new animated series surrounding the popular and imaginative interactive property, World of Thingies. The animated series will be released worldwide in a 2D eleven-minute episodic format.
Surrounding the adventures of the Thingies, the series takes place in a colorful, psychedelic universe called Landiland, and centers on themes of good vs evil, acceptance, and comedy adventure.
“When I discovered DeNA’s World of Thingies property, it was immediately alluring,” said Gerhard Runken, VP of Property Development at Fuel Entertainment. “The amazing character art and world lend themselves perfectly to an animated concept, and I knew Vision and Moody Street would make excellent development partners for this concept.”
Vision Animation and Moody Street Productions are creators of such hit properties as SheZow and Gwen Stefani and Mattel’s Kuu-Kuu Harajuku. The World of Thingies deal spans global expertise from USA/Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Japan, and is targeting a global audience within the boys 5 to 9 age demographic.
“Fuel, DeNA, and Moody Street Productions have an amazing pedigree in creating properties that span television, gaming, digital, and toy categories,” said Huoi Seong Low, CEO of Vision Animation. “To bring this expertise to a property with such cross-platform potential will create a massive potential for fans.”
"DeNA has been looking for ways to build on the success of our World of Thingies property for a while now," said Barry Dorf, VP Partnerships and Alliances at DeNA. "Fuel's talented group of development partners is the ideal team to make the series a hit as we launch the franchise onto new platforms."
The partners will be attending MIPCOM in October. For meeting requests or other inquiries, please contact [email protected].
