I cannot imagine the difficulty of coping with the loss of not one, but two family members simultaneously, this is truly a heartbreaking tragedy and that is why we want to do everything we can to help

With a new community program in Metairie and the surrounding areas, Cambias Insurance Agency continues its community strengthening efforts announcing a new charity campaign to raise funds to support the surviving family members – including two surviving children - of Elizabeth and her six-year-old daughter Karissa, who unexpectedly suffered this loss due to a tragic car accident. Good Samaritans exhausted all efforts to rescue Elizabeth and Karissa from the overturned vehicle inside a canal, but unfortunately they later passed at a nearby hospital. Cambias Insurance Agency is starting this campaign to help alleviate the unexpected expenses her family members face as they now are responsible for raising Elizabeth’s two children who no longer have their mother for support. Donations to the family can now be made through the campaign’s page at

Utilizing its own resources and seeking the help of its own network of customers and business partners, Cambias Insurance Agency marches on to ensure customers, friends, family and neighbors are always in good hands. The agency just recently launched the master charity program of which the current campaign is part of, electing every 30-60 days a new individual, organization or family in need to receive support.

The agency will promote the current campaign over the course of the next 30-60 days, through its social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through a monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in Louisiana, where the agency currently operates. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature the campaign and details of the cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue can be accessed here:

To join Cambias Insurance Agency in supporting Elizabeth and Karissa’s family, donors are encouraged to visit, and also share the page with friends and family. Contributors may be acknowledged for their donations through the agency’s monthly magazine.

Once the current campaign is over, Cambias Insurance Agency will continue to work closely with individuals in need and non-profit organizations in the area, to make sure resources are directed to capable hands that can help better the local community, one family or person at a time.
