Team from Leading Contract Cleaning Company, Monthind Clean LLP, Scales Three Peaks to Raise Cash for Macmillan
(PRWEB UK) 2 June 2015 -- Monthind Clean LLP aims to raise at least £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support this year and has taken the opportunity to combine its 40th anniversary celebrations with a plethora of exciting fundraising events. Simon Biggs and Tony Felgate, business partners at the contract cleaning company, are leading a team of Monthind staff on a twenty-five-mile trek across the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 27th June 2015.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually ascended in this order. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and the overall ascent of the three peaks totals 5,249ft. They encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Simon and Tony are hoping the team will complete the challenge within twelve hours. They have all been training hard for the event and have set themselves high targets for the money they hope to raise for the charity.
“I have made a pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support from this trek,” says Simon, “Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. One in three of us will get cancer, and two million of us are living with it. Chances are we will all be affected by cancer at some point in our lives, so it’s right that we should help Macmillan to help those affected now.”
