Boson Books/Bitingduck Press has released Lou De Lena's non-fiction guide to caregiving for aging parents, ParenTrapped, in print and electronic format. The book is a humorous but informative look at the challenges facing adults as their parents enter their golden years, from dealing with loss of independence to facing medical challenges to finding housing and care; the electronic version contains clickable hyperlinks to sources of support throughout North America.



Valuable information for both seniors and caregivers

It is based primarily on the author’s and others' personal experiences in dealing with aging parents. The author, Lou DeLena, has previously published a nonfiction guide to domestic chores for the domestically challenged. Mopping Tall – The Hubby’s Guide to Housework and Other Dangerous Jobs was released by Boson Books in 2003. Lou is a native of Medford, MA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Suffolk University. He has worked as a radio announcer, technical writer and cemetery laborer, and is currently employed as a Procurement Coordinator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

"ParenTrapped" is currently available in print and in electronic format from Amazon. It is enrolled in Amazon's MatchBook program, so that purchasers of the print book receive the electronic book for $0.99. It will be released in other e-formats (Nook, Kobo, Apple) over the next several days.
