IHYT main location in Stoney Creek (http://www.ihyt.org/facilities-for-rent), just outside of Hamilton, Ontario, consists of 2.56 acres of conservation zoned land nestled in the patchwork of woodland and farmland adjacent to the Niagara escarpment and on the edge of wine country. This quiet, treed property is close to nature while just minutes from shopping and amenities. Upon it a large beautiful home has been transformed into the spacious, elegant, and highly specialized Claffey family residential retreat.
In addition to the yoga room (including potential mat rentals and props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps) 6 rooms are available for accommodations, including 4 with one single bed and 2 with 2 single beds. Amenities on-site include a fully equipped kitchen, 2 shared washrooms with showers, an outdoor hot-tub (seasonal), a large deck for meals/yoga (weather permitting), a lounge area with satellite TV and WIFI, filtered water, self-serve laundry, and the possibility of organic vegan meals provided. IHYT can also assist your event by providing yoga/meditation classes, organic vegan cooking classes, and/or manual therapy. A car and 2 bicycles are even available for rental by the hour.
IHYT’s individual pricing of accommodations and amenities makes for extremely convenient and flexible tailoring of individual retreats and events. Its residential usage creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, spacious but still cozy.
About 45 minutes from Niagara Falls and 60 minutes from Downtown Toronto, IHYT Stoney Creek is also only 25 minutes from Hamilton Airport, 45 minutes from Toronto Airport, and 90 minutes from Buffalo NY Airport. Both bus and GO train are convenient from Toronto to Hamilton to within a short 10 minute cab ride of the retreat. Hiking trails are readily accessible, and there are plenty of golfing opportunities in the vicinity, as well as easy access to wineries in the Niagara direction.
