National Certified Public Accounting and Consulting Firm Promotes Seven Principals in Offices Across Country

San Francisco-based accounting and consulting firm Novogradac & Company LLP has elevated Rebecca Darling to the role of principal in the firm’s Atlanta office. The firm, which specializes in affordable housing, community development, historic preservation and renewable energy tax credits, has 18 offices nationwide. Ms. Darling joins six of her colleagues who also were elevated to principal.

“We could not be happier to announce Rebecca’s new role,” said Michael J. Novogradac, managing partner in the firm’s San Francisco office. “Ever since Rebecca joined the firm, she has been committed to the firm’s clients and has shown the initiative, dedication and leadership that is so vital to serving our clients well.”

“I am very excited about my recent promotion to principal,” said Ms. Darling. “I enjoy being able to work on a variety of engagements and being able to serve my clients’ audit, tax and consulting needs. And, I look forward to continue to serve our clients.”

Ms. Darling has experience in all areas of real estate accounting, with an emphasis in the new markets (NMTC) and affordable housing sectors. She specializes in audit and taxation of NMTCs and low-income housing tax credit partnerships, including those subject to the auditing requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Ms. Darling works closely with the Novogradac NMTC Working Group, a membership organization that is highly regarded for its effort in addressing technical programmatic issues surrounding the NMTC industry. She is a contributor to the New Markets Tax Credit Handbook and frequent speaker at industry events. Ms. Darling earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Kennesaw State University. She is licensed in Georgia as a certified public accountant.

Chad Durden and Tabitha Jones of the Atlanta office; Tiffany French and Kyle Zochert of the Austin, Texas, office; Alvin Lee of the San Francisco office; and Joe Petrullo of the Dover, Ohio, office have also been promoted to principal.
