EarthPeople Media Announces New Sustainability Specialist and Expansion of Consulting Services
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) December 31, 2014 -- EarthPeople Media, a Dallas-based sustainability and social innovation firm, announced today the expansion of its team with the addition of a new senior-level sustainability specialist and a revamped service offering. EarthPeople Media leverages integrated consulting and communication strategies to help start-ups, non-profits and multinationals strengthen brand equity, human capital and environmental performance. Launched as a boutique consultancy in 2005, the newly expanded firm is led by a core team of experts supported by independent contractors.
Derek Young, who began collaborating with the EarthPeople Media team in August 2014, has joined the firm as a principal. A veteran CSR and sustainability professional with 17 years of experience, Derek is recognized as a thought leader in the areas of corporate citizenship, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Having designed and implemented corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability programs at several corporations, Derek most recently developed and led the Responsible Business function globally for the TGI Fridays restaurant chain.
“I am extremely excited to be joining EarthPeople Media,” said Derek Young. “I was aware of the work Anna was doing for some time and after meeting her realized that we had an opportunity to create something special. I am looking forward to pairing my background and experiences with hers and taking EarthPeople Media to the next level in its evolution.”
“Derek was first recommended to me by a senior-level CSR executive from a Fortune 500 company. When we met a year later at a professional networking event, I knew he would make an excellent consulting partner,” said Anna Clark, president of EarthPeople Media. “Derek is a born leader and collaborator, as well as a seasoned sustainability strategist. We are proud to have him on our team.”
Since joining the firm in Fall 2014, the principals have revamped the firm’s service offering to reflect their amplification method for delivering corporate sustainability. EarthPeople Media uses the amplification process to embed sustainability into the DNA of organizations and prepare them to compete in the sustainable economy.
Derived from research-based best practices and more than 20 years of collective experience, the amplification method uses a proprietary assessment to evaluate an organizations in terms of Leadership, Performance, Knowledge and Engagement. From there, EarthPeople Media applies integrated consulting and communication strategies to help clients improve sustainability.
“We are pleased to work with companies starting from any position along the sustainability spectrum,” says Derek Young, principal of EarthPeople Media. “Our amplification method allows us to identify exactly where a client is in their sustainability journey and deliver customized support to ensure that they are able to achieve their objectives. We believe that by applying this approach we can help advance the principles of the sustainable economy and provide our clients with an edge that will ensure their long-term success.
