Full Speed Ahead for USA’s Dallas Training Academy in 2015
ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) December 31, 2014 -- As 2015 gets rolling, the U.S. Security Associates (USA) Dallas Training Academy is getting ready to close the books on a successful first year of operations. An offshoot of USA Security Academy, Dallas Training Academy is a Texas Department of Public Safety-approved training facility offering Levels 2, 3, and 4 security officer training courses. Director Mark Hargreaves left an HR management position with USA’s Dallas office to lead the new security company training operation.
Hargreaves is a Texas Department of Public Safety-certified instructor licensed up to Level 4. As Director of Dallas Training Academy, he delivers all course material and works with students to develop their skills, drawing on his own career experience as a USA security supervisor.
“With my background on the security service front lines,” says Hargreaves, “I can combine situational examples with classroom instruction for high-impact learning with direct real-world applications.”
Students can complete certification as non-commissioned security officers (Level 2) up to certification as personal protection officers, the state’s highest level for security personnel (Level 4). In addition to general licensing courses, Dallas Training Academy offers Officer Survival and Individual Firearms Training courses. The facility is also one of few in the state that provides preparation and training for the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) test. The MMPI is required for certification as a personal protection officer.
As an extension of USA Security Academy, Dallas Training Academy is governed by the same rigorous quality standards and innovative approach that recently propelled USA into Training magazine’s Top 125 award-winning training companies for the ninth consecutive year. Dallas Training Academy shares USA’s commitment to training quality and innovation as well as its commitment to attracting veteran talent. Former military and reserve personnel are offered discounted tuition rates.
Since opening its doors in spring of 2014, Dallas Training Academy has trained and certified more than 85 students. Open not only to USA employees and candidates but also to any aspiring security officer, the Academy is already one of the most highly regarded state-certified training facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“We chose to open Dallas Training Academy to all local security personnel to help establish a baseline of rigorous training for the Dallas-Fort Worth market,” says Hargreaves. “Raising the bar for state-mandated security officer training is consistent with our company-wide goal of providing solutions for a safer world.”
