Leadership Events Driving MEA Member Success for 2015
Eagan, MN (PRWEB) January 06, 2015 -- The coming year has great events on Midwest ENERGY Association's (MEA) calendar for all of your skill development and leadership opportunity needs. Event opportunities include live webinars, virtual leadership boot camps, in person training and conferences.
MEA's webinars are at no cost and have great topics like Failing Fearlessly, and Hiring Strategies for a Safe Work Environment (see below for more information). Keep an eye on our webinar page (events tab/webinars) for more webinar topics throughout the New Year.
Take an in depth dive in to your personal strengths with our Leadership Boot Camps held in the spring and fall. A recent participant shared the boot camps greatest strength, "The emphasis on understanding personal strengths and how to leverage them, how to evaluate your own goals and develop plans to meet them." Register now at http://www.midwestenergy.org for the Spring Leadership Boot Camp starting in March.
If you are a Field Leader and need to improve on crew leadership, planning work, working with management, powerful communication and other leadership skills, consider MEA's well received, interactive and highly relevant Field Leader Training program. MEA hosted a successful event in December 2014 and one Field Leader from Minnesota Energy Resources commented, "This was good information that made me look at my job and the expectations of employees and peers differently. It helped me understand some of the things that impact decisions that I hadn’t thought about." We are looking for companies to host training in 2015. Check out our website for more information on the training.
June 9 - 11 is the 8th annual Energetic Women Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. The conference is a women-focused leadership conference attended by over four hundred professionals in the energy industry. Men are encouraged to attend to understand the gender gap in their own industry. The main focus includes networking, relating to others in similar positions as well as building personal development skills.
