DarbeeVision Announces Launch of Cloud-based Image Processing at CES 2015
Orange, Ca (PRWEB) January 02, 2015 -- DarbeeVision, a leading developer of computational imaging, will show a new cloud-based image processing tool that allows its award-winning DARBEE Visual Presence technology to be used on any image, without the constraints of video processing pipelines. This new web-based system will allow users to upload any image to the cloud and process it with the exact same DARBEE Visual Presence Modes and Settings that are available using a Darblet or DVP-5X00 products. Live demonstrations will be taking place at the DarbeeVision Westgate Suite # 450.
“Our claim that fidelity is not the endpoint for image realism and that the millions of pixels, billions of colors and increasing pixel bit depth are all wonderful, but still only produce a flat image, needs to be put to the test," notes Larry Pace, President of DarbeeVision, "We proved it for SD and FHD; now the world wants to know if the unique enhancement process of DARBEE Visual Presence can actually add value to very high resolution images (UHD/4K and above). We have seen our processing work miracles on very high-resolution images, and yet displaying them at full resolution is challenging. Now, our claim can be independently explored.”
Using the DARBEE On Demand cloud-based system, consumer electronics manufacturers and videophiles will be able to examine DARBEE Visual Presence processing results using their own reference images, of any size (SD, FHD, UHD, 4K, 8K, larger), without the constraints of video format or the bandwidth demands of input/output hardware technology.
Limited distribution of access to this service will start at CES, at the DarbeeVision Exhibit Suite #450 at the Westgate Las Vegas (formerly LVH).
About DarbeeVision:
Formed in 2009 as a privately held company, DarbeeVision Inc. is headquartered in Orange, California. DarbeeVision has developed proprietary technologies that bring a revolutionary level of depth and realism to digital images. By integrating Visual Presence into existing digital image media devices, pictures can be made better than what even the most perfect camera and display can achieve -- much better in fact, by using computation to process an image in the same way the brain does, actually helping the eyes see images the way the brain expects them to look. DarbeeVision's technology is available to OEMs as IP for licensing. For information, call 714-787-1006, email: info(at)darbeevision(dot)com or visit http://www.DarbeeVision.com.
