Polyonics Adds Online, Small Volume Tape Sales Channel for Adhesive Tape

Polyonics traditionally sells its engineered tapes in 230 mm x 300M or 500 M rolls. With the new iTapeStore.com channel, customers can now buy the Polyonics tapes in 230 mm x 33 M rolls. In addition, iTapeStore can slit the tapes to the customer's specifications plus provide full converting services if required. The tapes are REACH and RoHS compliant with the flame retardant tapes tested to the UL94 VTM-0 requirements.

These Polyonics polyimide tapes are designed for applications involving high temperatures and harsh environments. The tapes include either acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) for process temperatures up to 300C or silicone PSAs for above 300C. The tapes also provide high dielectric strengths along with high resistance to the typical chemicals involved with PCB manufacturing.

Polyonics removable polyimide tapes offer clean removal from most surfaces and after most processes. They have low tribocharging PSAs that prevent charging of the surfaces, components, etc. when the tapes are applied and again when removed. Polyonics antistatic polyimide and PET tapes have surface resistances of 10^5 to 10^9 Ohms allowing them to dissipate electrostatic charges before they can build up and create ESD events.
