With thermal imaging, Google Glass will become the least expensive and the most full-featured thermal/night-vision goggle in the world

Round Concept, LLC, serving the purpose of bringing unique concepts to the market, is making its début at the CES 2015 by unveiling the prototype of the Third Eye - a "patent pending" design of the thermal attachment to smart glasses and more. Now any wearable device capable of image processing can extend its vision by adding a live thermal imaging stream into its viewfinder or recording unit. The Third Eye can be attached to the smart glasses or used separately with a multitude of mounting options developed by Round Concept, LLC.

Round Concept, LLC's products are driven by harvesting technological innovation from areas not immediately realized by companies that have no or little experience in providing expanded situational awareness. “As it always happens, military technology moves into the mass market by leaps and bounds,” stated Ivan Arbouzov, president and founder of Round Concept, LLC. “The ‘Thermal’ came to outdoors industry after this technology became more affordable but slowed down in further expansion. We are now taking it to the mass market by making it even less expensive and applied to many everyday uses. Yet, not everyone needs thermal imaging all the time and in same format of application, so our attachment concept makes it more convenient and versatile,” states Ivan. “We will fight Ebola by adding a smart glass to the arsenal of airport personnel and let them immediately identify passengers with fever. It will even work automatically and trigger a daylight camera on the glass to identify the person.”

“Our Third Eye can be attached to a smartphone as well, but instead of having to move a phone together with a camera - we decided to give a user an opportunity to separate them. For example, with Wi-Fi transmission ranging in yards, one can now use the camera on a pole and check hard-to-reach locations.”
