Little River Band Kicks off 40th Anniversary Tour on Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 05, 2015 -- The Little River Band, Australian born and American lead, is set to launch their 40th Anniversary Tour with a performance on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 12, 2015.
The band has certainly seen its fair share of change, ups, downs and hits over the past 40 years. But one thing remains, an unwavering commitment to entertain fans and a desire to deliver new music. Fans can expect to experience a variety of the classic hits (such as Reminiscing, Happy Anniversary, Cool Change, Lady and more) along with some of the new songs, like The Lost and The Lonely, which pays tribute to American troops and veterans. In fact, the band is donating 100% of the proceeds of the song downloads to the Green Beret Foundation Next Ridgeline Project which is dedicated to helping veterans transition.
“Many consider me a diehard. I just consider myself a dedicated musician at heart. I started with the band in early 1980 as the bass player, and was soon honored to sing lead vocals on two of Little River Band’s biggest hits – Night Owls and Take it Easy on Me. I take the reputation we have built seriously as we work hard to deliver good music and entertain our fans in every city at every concert,” said Wayne Nelson, lead singer Little River Band. “It is humbling to read stories from fans who say how our music has inspired their lives whether it be proposing, coming of age or celebrating milestones in life. I am excited for what our fans will experience this year and we are thrilled to be still performing strong on this 40th Anniversary.”
“The band’s songs are timeless and are still being played on the radio after 40 years. And in all those years, they’ve never stopped touring and delivering a strong show every night. How many bands can say that?” Louis Levin, widely known for managing Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton and Luther Vandross.
Little River Band holds true to the roots of the music, remaining focused on fans and delivering solid performances. The band is in what many would call “Living Legacy Mode.” For them, it’s about doing good things for people and leaving a lasting impact through concert experiences. The only ‘Lonesome Loser’ will be the one the band sings about on stage.
