(PRWEB) January 06, 2015 -- HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced it has named Doug Evans to the position of Business Development Manager for the U.S. mountain west region. In this capacity, Evans will be charged with performing competitive analysis, evaluating business opportunities and securing new business. To promote and reinforce HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ reputation for customer service excellence, Evans will also be working with prospects and customers to develop equipment recommendations tailored to their specific requirements and applications.
“HIPOWER SYSTEMS is rapidly becoming a leader in the oil and gas industry, and it has assembled a team of passionate, talented people,” said Evans at the announcement. “I look forward to putting my skills and training to work in the advancement of the company’s sales objectives and overall goals.”
In addition to his core sales development duties, Evans will assist in developing and expanding HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ business model and customer base for the region, including gathering and analyzing intelligence on a variety of data streams. He will also be actively engaged in planning and nurturing new and existing client accounts and educating HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ customers on the company’s products, including its diesel generators and natural gas generators. Evans’ territory will include North Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado―extending into the Marcellus Shale play.
Prior to joining HIPOWER SYSTEMS, Evans worked for SRC Power Systems in Springfield, Missouri, where he helped triple the company’s annual revenue over a three-year period. Evans has also worked for power generation provider Alaska Diesel Electric (now Northern Lights), organized the power generation division for O&G equipment supplier Kudu Industries, and designed and built custom units for numerous O&G producers throughout western Canada. Evans honored the U.S. by serving in the military from 1971-1974.
“Doug comes to us with a unique background that gives him strong experience in both power generation and the oil and gas industry,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. “His work ethic and commitment to quality, paired with this experience, make him a perfect fit for HIPOWER SYSTEMS.”
