Outdoor Fun
With the arrival of winter weather, Westchester is host to ice skating, cross country skiing and sledding fun at many county park locations. Don’t let the cold weather bring you down. Round up the entire family for ice skating (weather permitting) at the following parks:
• Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial, Route 35, Somers
• Blue Mountain Reservation, Welcher Avenue, Peekskill
• Wampus Pond, Route 128, Armonk
• Mountain Lakes Park, Hawley Road, North Salem

• Tibbetts Brook Park, Midland Avenue, Yonkers

Sledding is also allowed (weather permitting) at Croton Gorge, Lasdon Park, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation and Dunwoodie, Sprain Lake, Saxon Woods, Mohansic and Maple Moor golf courses.

Plan Ahead
Public tickets are now on sale for the inaugural KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, to be held at Westchester Country Club in Harrison from June 9-14. Admission starts at $15 for practice rounds on June 9 and 10, all the way up to a Weekly Clubhouse Pass for $200. The pass includes access to the golf course, main clubhouse and clubhouse foyer, patio and lawn areas Tuesday through Sunday.
There are also one-day Flex Passes available for $35, which allows golf course access on your day of choice through the event, and Daily Grounds Passes, which range from $15 each for Tuesday and Wednesday to $30 each for Saturday and Sunday.
