Android users can reclaim more than 60% of the storage space the original photo files occupied, freeing up room for more photos and apps
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) January 06, 2015
Accusoft will exhibit at PMA@CES 2015 January 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada to showcase the powerful Cram file-shrinking mobile app for photos, the PICTools Photo software development kit (SDK) for building powerful editing and compression functions into applications, and other advanced imaging products from Accusoft’s broad suite of imaging, document and content solutions.
A segment of the annual International Computer Electronics Show (CES), PMA@CES is dedicated to exhibits of photo/imaging products and services.
In booth 26724 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Accusoft will demonstrate Cram, an easy-to-use Android app that shrinks JPEG photo files to as little as one-third their original size while retaining the resolution, full display/print dimensions and quality of the original photo. Available now in the Google Play store, Cram is free to install and use for up to 300 photos. For a $1.99 in-app purchase, users may cram an unlimited number of photos.
By compressing JPEG files with Cram, Android users can reclaim more than 60% of the storage space the original photo files occupied, freeing up room for more photos and apps. Besides saving space, the smaller files move through networks two-thirds faster when sent to friends, cloud storage or social media sites. And Cram-processed photos display more quickly when embedded as inline images in websites or blogs, reducing page load time and boosting visitor retention.
Accusoft’s PICTools Photo, also featured at PMA@CES, enables developers to build the same patented, industry-leading compression technology into their applications, including new support for PNG file optimization. PICTools Photo is just one part of a family of Accusoft SDKs that also includes versions for document, medical and fingerprint applications.
