The Last Well Brings Water to 40,000 More Liberians Behind The Efforts of James Vah
Sulphur Springs, Texas (PRWEB) January 06, 2015 -- The Last Well (TLW) is well on its way to fulfilling its mission of bringing clean water and the Good News of Jesus Christ to all Liberians by the end of the decade. In the past year, project manager James Vah has helped the organization advance its aim by completing 47 water projects that have brought clean, disease-free water to 40,000 Liberians in Grand Kru County.
“We celebrate the hard work and courage of James Vah in transforming lives and bringing new hope in Liberia,” said TLW founder and director Dr. Todd Phillips. “As many aid workers fled the country in the wake of the Ebola outbreak, James worked tirelessly to drill new wells and rehabilitate old ones across Grand Kru county.”
Vah first began working with TLW on a pilot project in 2013, after spending several years drilling wells and evangelizing with one of its partners. The resourceful and energetic Vah completed his assigned 20 projects in half the expected time, and then led a water survey of the entire county of Grand Kru, a remote county (the equivalent of a US state) in southeast Liberia. Vah’s team proceeded to complete a further 27 well drilling projects in less than 60 days.
As TLW progresses toward its ultimate goal of bringing water and the Gospel to the entire country of Liberia, Vah will complete approximately 300 water projects in the next 72 months or until the organization completes its mission.
“With passionate team members like James Vah, we have the infrastructure to bring clean water and the Gospel to all Liberians before our 2020 deadline,” Phillips said. “Now we just need extra donations to make it happen.”
