5th Annual Drawing Contest Kicks off with back-to-back San Diego events Hosted by Bill Howe Plumbing and the American Heart Association
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 06, 2015 -- The San Diego plumber, Bill Howe, and the American Heart Association are teaming up again in 2015 for the fifth time to host the “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest. The contest spans three months and the San Diego plumbing company will celebrate with two official launch parties. On Saturday, January 10 and Sunday January 11, Bill Howe Plumbing and the American Heart Association will be out in the community promoting healthy heart education and giving away prizes to attendees.
The “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest enters into its fifth year in the San Diego community to help educate families about heart disease and stroke, the number one killer in San Diego. Officially launched on January 1 and ending on March 27, Bill Howe Plumbing’s sponsorship of the popular drawing contest culminates at the annual American Heart Association’s Heart Ball held at the La Jolla Estancia Hotel & Resort. The San Diego plumbing company gives away $750 in Toys R Us gift cards to the Grand Prize Winner, age category winners and a “Facebook Favorite” winner. The contest is open to all San Diego residents’ children ages 5-12, free to enter and the Grand Prize Winner also receives an exclusive invitation for them and their family to attend the Heart Ball.
In previous years, the “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest Kick-off Party was held at the New Children’s Museum and marked the official launch. This year, the Bill Howe Family of Companies looks forward to back-to-back events in downtown San Diego, including the Health Fair at the Waterfront Par and once again during the Target Free Sunday at the New Children’s Museum. Both events will host healthy activities, learning opportunities about ways to keep your heart healthy, prizes and the chance to enter the drawing contest. Additionally, at the NCM event on Sunday, each attendee will have the opportunity to enter to win a $100 Toys R Us gift card (in addition to the main contest prizes). On Saturday, the American Heart Association and Bill Howe will have a table at the “Fresh Start Healthy Lifestyles Fair,” held at the Waterfront Park 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101 from 11AM to 3PM. On Sunday, the New Children’s Museum is free to the public from 12PM to 4PM and the Bill Howe Family of Companies will be hosting a fun-filled party with games, prizes and heart health education. Both events are free to the public.
