Utility Incentives for Energy Efficiency with Brewer-Garrett
Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) January 12, 2015 -- Bid4Efficiency, Prescriptive & Custom Programs
On October 1st, 2014 The Brewer-Garrett Company (BG) participated in the AEP Ohio Bid4Efficiency program. BG was awarded utility incentives towards energy efficient upgrades that result in electrical savings. These incentives can be applied to all AEP Ohio non-residential customers who use more than 200,000 kWh per year. BG won the bid for incentives towards: T-12 Lighting replacement, LED lighting installation, VFDs on compressed air and non-compressed air, and all kWh reductions. The all kWh reduction category can include any project that leads to a reduction in electrical consumption, excluding fuel switching.
Along with Bid4Efficiency, AEP Ohio has both a prescriptive and a custom incentive program. These programs also can be applied to all AEP Ohio non-residential customers who use more than 200,000 kWh per year. Eligible incentive categories include: Lighting retrofits and controls, HVAC upgrades and controls, Motors and Drives, Compressed Air, Refrigeration and Food Service, Agricultural, Transformer upgrades, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and custom.
Those interested in performing an energy conservation project who need a company to perform the installation, or already have plans to complete a project and need the incentive paperwork completed, the Brewer-Garrett team can help. BG can also help to determine if a project meets the qualifications for a utility incentive. BG is an AEP Ohio Gold Solution Provider (1.0-2.5 GWh of energy saved), and has a staff capable of handling all utility incentive needs.
Self-Direct Program
In addition to future projects, AEP Ohio also has an incentive program for projects complete since Jan. 1, 2012. These incentives can be applied to all AEP Ohio non-residential customers who use more than 700,000 kWh; or a national or regional account with multiple facilities in one or more states. Customers who have completed a qualifying energy efficiency project are eligible for an energy efficiency credit payment of 75% of the calculated incentive amount for energy savings under the Prescriptive or Custom Program; or an exemption from the Energy Efficiency/Peak Demand Reduction (EE/PDR) rider for a specified number of months. The Brewer-Garrett team is also well versed in the self-direct program, and capable of helping customers to accurately file and receive these funds.
