B&G Oilfield Services Partners with North Dakota State University on Workforce Study

Williston, ND (PRWEB) February 02, 2015 -- B&G Oilfield Services and North Dakota State University team up on a workforce study to discover insights on the perceptions and intentions of oil and gas industry employees.

North Dakota State University (NDSU) has begun conducting a workforce study to gain a better understanding of the motivations and goals influencing oil and gas employees. The research will provide insight on topics such as: the length of time employees plan to spend in North Dakota, if they plan to move to the area, or if they have no intention of relocating.

B&G Oilfield Services, a major employer in the North Dakota workforce, is one of the businesses participating in the NDSU survey. Pat Bertagnolli, Director of Human Resources states, “At B&G our objective is to maintain a safe, seasoned, service oriented workforce. We appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback on surveys of this nature knowing that the information gathered will assist ND leaders with creating solutions that will ultimately help our people and our organization.”

Answers to the workforce study seek to address the issues associated with the rapid and unprecedented growth in western North Dakota. This includes the subject of employee retention, community development, and the allocation of government services. The research gathered will help communities and employers plan for and provide the appropriate mix of public and private services for residents.

Nancy Hodur, Researcher at the Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department at NDSU, comments, “B&G’s participation is critical to the success of this effort and it would not be possible without them.”
