Marlborough, MA (PRWEB) January 08, 2015 -- Axcel Photonics is a multidiscipline semiconductor laser manufacturing company with advanced capabilities in MOCVD growth, processing, and fabricating of laser chips for use in Industrial, Medical, Military and Aerospace applications. Sheaumann Laser has broad based technology designing and delivering custom high quality DPSS, flashlamp, and fiber-coupled laser modules and equipment. As a result of the acquisition, Sheaumann Laser emerges as a deeply talented and capable laser and photonics provider. The expectations of the combined team are for favorable growth and expansion into areas previously beyond their singular capabilities.
Mr. John “Gary” Sousa is appointed the President of the merged company. Mr. Sousa has served as President and CTO of Axcel, and has an extensive experience in management and technical support in the laser field. It is expected that Mr. Sousa will lead the combined company into further growth of their businesses.
