ZeroTurnaround Completes its Most Successful Year on Record
Boston, Mass. (PRWEB) January 07, 2015 -- ZeroTurnaround, the maker of revolutionary tools for developing quality software faster, today announced that it closed a record year fueled by new product innovations, community engagement and the market's demand for Java productivity tools. ZeroTurnaround ended 2014 with 36 of the Fortune 100 as customers and headcount up 68 percent from the previous year. The company has expanded its offices in Prague and Boston to accommodate a growing team of business and engineering talent now reaching 160 full-time employees.
In 2014 industry influencers including Gartner, Inc. and SD Times recognized ZeroTurnaround for its product innovation and contribution to the betterment of software development. For the second-consecutive year, ZeroTurnaround was named as one of the best application lifecycle management (ALM) and development tools in the SD Times 100, an annual list recognizing companies, non-commercial organizations, and open-source projects for their innovation and leadership. ZeroTurnaround also received a nod from Gartner, appearing in the firm’s Cool Vendors 2014, a series of research reports highlighting innovative vendors and their products and services.
ZeroTurnaround continues to see strong demand for its flagship product JRebel across industries, particularly financial services, telecom and retail, with more than 5,200 enterprise teams now using JRebel. November 2014 saw the launch of JRebel 6, the first major release of the product to feature full integration of Javeleon technologies, acquired by ZeroTurnaround in March 2013. With JRebel 6 Java developers can create higher-quality code even faster, and with less downtime, from the superclass functionality and superior infrastructure available in the newest release. This year also saw the introduction of XRebel, a lightweight Java profiler. The new product received enthusiastic interest from Java development teams, culminating in more than 100 new organizations in 33 countries becoming users in less than three months from its market debut.
While product innovation led much of ZeroTurnaround’s success in 2014, other corporate initiatives also prospered. RebelLabs, the technical content and community site for Java developers sponsored by ZeroTurnaround produced eight thought-provoking and vendor-agnostic original research reports. RebelLabs has built a significant following with more than one million unique visits to the site – becoming a routine destination for software developers eager to find the latest and greatest opinions, tips and general know-how on the world of Java. Similarly, vJUG – the first Virtual Java User Group, sponsored by ZeroTurnaround, celebrated its one-year anniversary in 2014. With a membership now reaching more than 2,200 Java enthusiasts in 85 countries, vJUG members are helping to shape the future of the Java programming language and promote its use for mission-critical applications. vJUG leader and Developer Advocate Simon Maple was named a 2014 Java Champion along with Anton Arhipov, Product Manager for XRebel. They join coworker Geert Bevin who has been a Java Champion since July 2006.
“It’s been an extraordinary year for ZeroTurnaround,” said Jevgeni Kabanov, Founder and CEO of ZeroTurnaround. “Our products are loved by thousands of developers around the world because we take away the frustrations and time draining activities that impede developer productivity and performance. We are a company dedicated to Java, the JVM and its users. We will continue to educate, challenge, entertain and improve the professional lives of the Java community by producing high-quality products and usable content deemed most important to our audiences.”
