META, pioneers in smartwatch design and technology, today announced the integration of Misfit activity tracking into the highly acclaimed META M1. The integration embeds Misfit’s proprietary algorithms and cloud API across the latest META platform.
META M1 users will be able to freely access two levels of activity tracking:
Basic mode allows users to set a steps goal and track their daily totals.
Advanced mode calculates points and history tracking with a new or existing Misfit account. Advanced mode connects Misfit’s Cloud API with MetaCloud, META’s global delivery and management gateway.
“META M1 users put time at a premium,” says Bill Geiser, META founder and CEO. “Misfit’s dedication to accurate, useful activity tracking aligns perfectly with META’s focus on quality and craftsmanship. It is more than just a step in the right direction, it’s a step up.”
"Activity and automatic sleep tracking are great use cases for smart watches to incorporate so we love the fact that META’s beautiful devices can now have this functionality and can have access to the Misfit App and community," said Misfit CEO Sonny Vu.
The META M1 consists of simple, connected watch faces that deliver relevant information via iOS or Android smartphones. META M1 users will receive the Misfit integration as part of an upcoming upgrade to the platform.
The entire META M1 assortment is available at meta.watch.
