North Carolina Retirement Community Hosts Living Healthy Series
Thomasville, North Carolina (PRWEB) January 09, 2015 -- Piedmont Crossing has partnered with Piedmont Triad Regional Council Area Agency on Aging to bring a healthy living series to the continuing care retirement community in Thomasville. Sessions will be held each Wednesday at 1:30pm for 19 consecutive weeks beginning January 14.
The series will cover numerous topics such as chronic medical conditions, controlling diabetes, maintaining balance, healthy eating, and decreasing fall risks. Through the weekly classes attendees will learn to make a difference in their life through: daily action plans, social engagement, health eating, fall prevention, problem solving and medication management - a program designed to complement anyone's lifestyle.
"The goal of this series is to help keep residents feeling young and vibrant," said Sherry Scott, Director of Resident Services at Piedmont Crossing. "This series will provide valuable information to keep older adults feeling great in 2015."
