Providence, RI (PRWEB) January 13, 2015
During the month of October, SERVPRO of Providence organized a social media campaign in which for every “like” they received to its Facebook page, SERVPRO would donate $5 to the Rhode Island Breast Cancer Coalition. The campaign finished with 148 new likes, totaling a donation of $740. However, Frank Mattos, Owner of SERVPRO of Providence, in conjunction with General Manager, Chris Gagnon, chose to raise the donation to $2,500 to show their genuine support for the cause.
“We are honored to present this donation to support such a wonderful organization,” stated Frank Mattos, President and Owner of SERVPRO of Providence. “While the campaign was a great success, it means more to our company to be able to give back to an association, such as the Rhode Island Breast Cancer Coalition, who does so much for local women in need.”
The Rhode Island Breast Cancer Coalition provides support groups at various sites across the state, and 100% of every dollar raised supports women in Rhode Island who are currently fighting breast cancer. With their donations, the Rhode Island Breast Cancer Coalition offers prescription assistance, wigs, prostheses, lymphedema garments and transportation assistance for those who cannot supply it themselves. Their focus is to provide evidence-based education, support and advocacy for those who are affected by this disease.
The check was presented by Frank Mattos and Chris Gagnon of SERVPRO of Providence to Marlene McCarthy of the Rhode Island Breast Cancer Coalition.
