Abundant and cheap natural gas from Shale Gas Fracking is transforming the Polyolefins Industry in the USA and creating new opportunities and new investments. The 2015 Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) International Polyolefins Conference will discuss this renaissance in the plastics industry at Hilton Houston North Hotel (12400 Greenspoint Drive) in Houston, Texas on February 22-25, 2015 as well as celebrating its 40th year in existence--"Four Decades of Advances in Polyolefin Technology".

The SPE International Polyolefins Conference is the largest polymer conference in the world dedicated to Polyolefins (Polyethylene, Polypropylene, and copolymers). It is the best place in the Industry for suppliers and customers to meet and to learn about new developments and trends in the Polyolefin Industry. Over 650 technical experts and business professionals are anticipated, attracted to the conference by 65 exhibitor booths, 84 technical papers, a Sunday afternoon Tutorial on "Polyolefin Technology and Applications", two evening networking receptions, and a Student Poster Competition.

Fourteen sessions will cover a wide range of topics from "current trends, technology, and Industry investments", to "case studies in managing innovation", to "catalyst and process advances", to "polyolefin modifiers and additives", to "polyolefin elastomers", to" applications in film, durables, and medical", and to "analytical methods".

Keynote speakers will include:
Nick Vafiadis, Senior Director, Global Polyolefins and Plastics, IHS, "Global Polyethylene: Issues and Trends"
Nick Jones, Energy Advisor, ExxonMobil, "Outlook for Energy through 2030"
James Ray, Senior Consultant, ICIS, "Ethylene, Ethylene, What about Propylene?"
Clifford Lee, Vice President, Townsend, "Global Industrial Polyolefin Catalysts-- Major Developments"
