Two DiTommaso-Lubin Attorneys Selected as 2015 Illinois Rising Stars

Patrick D. Austermuehle and Andrew C. Murphy are among the 2.5% of Illinois attorneys selected as 2015 Rising Stars

Two DiTommaso-Lubin attorneys, Patrick D. Austermuehle and Andrew C. Murphy, have been selected to the 2015 Illinois Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Illinois are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Super Lawyers, recognizes outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country.

Patrick D. Austermuehle has experience with consumer fraud, class-action, and complex business litigation in both federal and state courts, including at the appellate level. He earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin and a JD, cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2009. While at Chicago-Kent, he was the Notes and Comments Editor at the Chicago Kent Law Review. Before joining DiTommaso-Lubin, Mr. Austermuehle served as a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney and as a Judicial Extern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Andrew C. Murphy focuses primarily on complex business litigation, class-action, and consumer fraud litigation in both state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate level. He received his BA, summa cum laude, from Oral Roberts University in 2008 and his JD, cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011. While at Chicago-Kent, he received a CALI Award for Excellence for earning the highest grade in Complex Litigation and had a number of his articles published in the student blog and school newspaper. Before joining DiTommaso-Lubin, Mr. Murphy served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Daniel J. Pierce. He is admitted to the Illinois State Bar, the Northern District of Illinois Bar, and the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar.
