Greenberg Traurig’s Jillian C. Bunyan to Speak at Land Ownership and Access Rights Seminar
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 -- Jillian C. Bunyan, Environmental attorney in the Philadelphia office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the 2015 Determining Land Ownership and Access Rights seminar, hosted by HalfMoon Education, Inc. The seminar will take place Jan. 14, 2015, in Fort Washington, Pa.
Bunyan’s lecture will cover the history and development of water rights in the United States. Additionally, she will address the intricacies of Pennsylvania law regarding land boundary determination near the water line, access rights to surface waters, rights to groundwater, and complying with regulations restricting access to, and use of, surface water and groundwater.
The upcoming seminar aims to bring together title insurance professionals, landmen, engineers, attorneys, and surveyors, and will also include sessions on Locating Land Interest on Paper; Identifying, Classifying, and Locating Easements; Avoiding, Identifying, and Resolving Ethical Issues in Land Transactions and Disputes; and Resolving Boundary Disputes.
Bunyan focuses her practice on environmental and energy matters. She helps clients navigate energy transactions and policy and represents clients in litigation with a focus on contaminated sediment and oil and gas disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Bunyan handled air, waste and toxics enforcement matters in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Regional Counsel in Seattle, Wash.
