Clevest Solutions Inc., a leading provider of mobile workforce automation software including smart grid mobile, has won Best Smart Energy Solution in the Clean Tech category from The New Economy Awards 2014.

This award recognizes Clevest’s Mobile Workforce Management and Smart Grid Operations and Maintenance solutions among the most innovative and dynamic products, projects and companies committed to the future growth of the clean tech landscape and a more sustainable global economy.

Now in its 6th year, The New Economy Awards are decided by reviewing benchmark solutions that will further advance sustainable development in new markets worldwide and innovation in the smart energy sector. The global awards recognize leaders within their sectors, and champions of sustainability – crucial to the success in the new economy. Group Managing Editor Michael McCaw stated that the panel was “overwhelmed by the volume of suggestions submitted by our global audience who contributed largely to the unearthing of the most innovative and dynamic solutions, projects and companies committed to the future growth of the clean tech landscape and a more sustainable global economy.”

Michael Silmont, SVP Global Sales and Alliances, Clevest enthused, “We are extremely pleased to receive the Best Smart Energy Solution in The New Economy Awards’ clean tech category. Clevest’s innovative technologies can help utilities in both established and emerging markets drive efficiency in their mobile workforce activities and improve grid resilience and reliability to their customers.” Silmont continued, “Aspects of this include establishing a culture of conservation by promoting the efficient delivery of energy resources while simultaneously eliminating paper and paper-based processes for field operations, reducing fuel consumption and vehicle emissions, and lowering consumption of energy resources. Other significant aspects include energy theft prevention, disaster response and restoration, power outages, voltage irregularities, equipment failure and worker safety.”

The New Economy Awards have been announced to coincide with the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting taking place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland in January 2015.
