Matt Sondag to Join West Monroe Partners’ New York Office

Focusing on Expansion in New York – West Monroe Partners Adds Mergers & Acquisitions and Operations Excellence Expertise to Local Office Leadership Team

Matt Sondag, Managing Director and leader of West Monroe Partners’ Chicago Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Operations Excellence practices, will join the firm’s New York office as of January 1, 2015. Sondag will focus on expanding the office’s well-established service offerings, including its local Mergers & Acquisitions practice.

Sondag is a recognized leader in the M&A space, partnering with both financial and strategic buyers regarding acquisitions, divestitures, as well as portfolio improvement initiatives. Sondag currently serves approximately 20 M&A clients in New York and on the East Coast. Following the success of recent years, East Coast strategic growth and geographic expansion is part of a multi-year strategy for West Monroe Partners. The New York office will continue to expand its headcount rapidly and deepen its capabilities in M&A, technology, banking, insurance and energy and utilities in 2015 and beyond.

Sondag is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur who has co-founded two organizations during his 19 years of business and IT consulting experience. He utilizes his background and experience to deliver targeted solutions that drive business value. In 2013, Sondag was recognized by the M&A Advisor as a winner of their 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards. He was named a winner for the Service Provider category.
