FLOCK Specialty Finance Taps Investment Banker as New CFO

FLOCK, a leading specialty finance company which provides capital for the subprime consumer finance markets as well as for debt buyers of distressed and subprime consumer credit obligations, announced that John Wheeler, former Managing Director at Renova Partners, LLC, an investment bank focused on financial services, has joined FLOCK as Chief Financial Officer.

John has more than 17 years of experience in finance and investment banking, including a focus on M&A and capital raise transactions for companies in the specialty finance and financial services industries. In 2008, he co-founded Servius Capital LLC, an Atlanta-based boutique investment bank focused on specialty finance and retail companies. “I am excited for this opportunity to work with Michael and the FLOCK team,” Wheeler said. “Michael has assembled a diverse team of experienced professionals that takes a novel approach to their markets. I look forward to helping the company creatively deploy its capital in new markets.”

Prior to Renova Partners, John served as CFO for several subsidiaries of CompuCredit Corporation, including a “Buy-Here, Pay-Here” auto finance operation and other businesses focused on providing a variety of sub-prime lending products to consumers. John previously worked in investment banking positions at the Atlanta offices of Stephens Inc. and JPMorgan. He began his career in the New York and London offices of Salomon Brothers Inc.

John earned his B.A. from Princeton University and received an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
