Barcode Publicity, a real estate industry leading designer of mobile and desktop web solutions, has announced the release of a voice based search feature for their Barcode Realty product line. Voice Search allows a mobile or desktop website visitor to search for properties using simple voice commands, rather than filling out forms.

Barcode Publicity launched this feature for mobile devices on January 12, 2015 within their Real Estate division, Barcode Realty. Per Barcode Publicity's long-standing "free updates for life" policy, all clients received this feature automatically. The Barcode team developed Barcode Realty’s Voice Search entirely in-house to support the needs of real estate agents and their customers. “Since our founding, we’ve focused on building user experiences that are more human and natural. Voice-based search is a natural extension of that work,” said President, Alex Camelio.

“Our team has been working hard for months on how to translate natural spoken language into a usable search query. Now, for the first time, someone visiting a real estate website can search in a natural way. Results appear within seconds,” added Anthony Powers, Barcode Publicity's CTO.

The Voice Search feature will work with any web enabled device with a microphone such as, smartphones, tablets, laptops and even e-book readers. Website visitors no longer need to type in lengthy property descriptions and parameters; With voice search, all they have to do is say what they are looking for. For example, a website visitor can say “I'm looking for a home in Boston under five hundred thousand with a patio and garage” and be viewing properties in seconds.

While Google currently offers voice search on its websites, there are no companies offering comprehensive voice search for the real estate market. “We’re excited to offer this exclusive service to our clients. We are convinced that voice search is going to fundamentally transform the real estate web market,” said Camelio.
