Oakwood Systems Group to Host "Next Gen Productivity for Modern Day Workers" – An Exclusive KC Event
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) January 16, 2015 -- Oakwood Systems Group has partnered with Microsoft to bring a cutting-edge event to the Kansas City metro area. The event, “Next Gen Productivity for Modern Day Workers,” will take place on January 22nd at Oakwood’s Overland Park office and will feature several award-winning speakers, a Microsoft device bar, and hands-on workshops that highlight new Microsoft technology.
The event is open to area business leaders who are interested in learning about new technology and processes that enable workers to stay productive anywhere on any device as well as how to build dynamic teams that scale quickly to meet changing business needs. Each attendee will have the opportunity to attend multiple sessions that promote hands-on learning on topics like:
• Cloud technology with Azure RemoteApp, Enterprise Mobility Suite, Azure IaaS
• Modern BI and creating executive dashboards for decision makers, all in the cloud
• Office 365, Lync, OneDrive and the next iteration of worker productivity in unified communications
• Best practices for writing clean code in a style that’s easy to create, maintain and understand.
Each session will be given by industry-leading experts including former Microsoft Technical Strategist, Scott Cameron, and well-known developer, Steve Green.
Green is known for his thought leadership on Application Development trends and has presented at numerous conferences like the Heartland Developer Conference in Omaha, App Dev Trends Conference in Las Vegas, Days of .NET Conference in St. Louis and VML Speaker Series in Kansas City.
“This is truly a distinctive event,” Green said. “I believe those who attend the developer-focused session will find my perspective unique and different as the topic of writing clean code challenges the fundamental perception of what developers do; they write code not for computers, but instead for each other. This idea has insightful implications that can help both novice and expert engineers to be better coders.”
While Application Development is a featured topic, the event also focuses on ways to utilize cloud technology for better business decision-making and enhanced, unified communication and infrastructure solutions.
The informal event provides opportunities to network and engage with speakers and other guests before, during and after sessions. It is open to both business and technical decision makers, is free of cost and will have complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails available starting at 3:30 PM CST. Sessions will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with additional time for Q&A and networking immediately after the sessions. Oakwood Systems Group – A Unique Firm in a Booming Tech City
