Long-range shooting is easy if you have the right tools. Get to know more about these tools and how they work as Kestrel® Weather & Environmental Meters hosts a series of daily demos at SHOT Show booth #1946 in the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, January 20-23, 2015. Demos will be held daily at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

11:00 AM – Attend a demo hosted by Larry Chao of Horus Vision focusing on the
Kestrel Shooter’s Weather Meter with Horus Ballistics.

The Kestrel Shooter’s Weather Meter with Horus Ballistics is the first lightweight, handheld tool to integrate ballistics software with advanced weather tracking. With a library of up to 1000 unique ammo/gun combinations, the Kestrel with Horus features G1/G7 support; multi-segment wind capabilities; and Horus’ proprietary “True Drop” feature, which recalculates key ballistic parameters in response to simple user entry of shot results as actually observed in the field.

2:00 PM – Attend a demo hosted by the Applied Ballistics team, including Todd Hodnett, Bryan Litz and Nick Vitalbo, focusing on the newly launching Kestrel Sportsman and the Kestrel Shooter’s Weather Meter with Applied Ballistics.

The NEW Kestrel Sportsman combines real-time environmental monitoring with a full G1/G7 ballistics calculator to instantly provide accurate targeting DOPE for shots within the supersonic range. The Kestrel Sportsman comes pre-loaded with customizable gun/bullet options and stores up to 16 personalized combinations. The complete weather meter with built in recording also allows you to log the environmental conditions of your best hunts and identify animal behavior patterns using your specific captured data. Use the Kestrel Companion app for remote viewing of your shooting solution from your shooting position.

The Kestrel Shooter’s Weather Meter with Applied Ballistics allows users to obtain critical environmental data and calculate accurate fire control solutions for long-range rifle shooting all in one device. Get the “science of accuracy” with this advanced Applied Ballistics meter, including G1/G7 support; access to the “Litz” library of ballistic coefficients; aerodynamic (crosswind) jump; Applied Ballistics spin drift and Coriolis; muzzle velocity; and remote viewing via the Kestrel Companion app.

Immediately following each product demo, Kestrel will host a product raffle for present attendees who will have the chance to win a Ballistics Weather Meter of their choice. For daily demo time reminders and other Kestrel contests, follow @KestrelWeather on Twitter and like FB/kestrelmeters.
