WeComply’s Preventing Discrimination and Harassment Training Updated To Be Compliant with New California AB 2053 Law

This new legislation, effective January 1, 2015, expands the anti-harassment training requirements for supervisors under AB 1825 to include information on the prevention of abusive conduct in the workplace.

For almost a decade California law has required organizations with at least 50 employees to provide supervisors with two hours of discrimination training every two years. Thomson Reuters’ Preventing Discrimination and Harassment course for California supervisors satisfies the two-hour requirement and covers such topics as anti-discrimination laws, sexual harassment, protected characteristics, retaliation, supervisor responsibilities, liability for supervisor misconduct, documenting employee actions, responding to complaints, exposure to EEOC claims, key state laws and more. In addition to material on these topics, the newly updated version of this course includes additional training on preventing abusive conduct in the workplace, which will allow California organizations to meet their new obligations under AB 2053.
