Berea, OH (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- The most recent release of ProGet, Inedo’s simple to use package management server, introduces Bower to the list of package managers it functions with.
ProGet is a NuGet package repository that allows its users to host and manage personal or enterprise-wide NuGet feeds. ProGet creates a local package repository that's similar to the gallery hosted at nuget.org/packages.
Bower is a package manager, whose non-partisan infrastructure allows it to handle a wide variety of package types, such as Bootstrap, jQuery, AngularJS, and more.
ProGet 3.4’s support for Bower will let its users create, maintain and host their own Bower repository feeds. This type of functionality is something that CEO and Founder of Inedo, Alex Papadimoulis is very enthusiastic about.
“We are pretty excited about the addition,” Alex reports, “One reason Bower works so well is because of its simplicity. When paired with ProGet, you get the benefits of that streamlined approach, with some added flexibility throw in from ProGet’s corner.”
While support for Bower is the centerpiece of ProGet 3.4, there is a lot more to this version of the product. See the release notes for a full description of the changes to ProGet this release.
